Main Article Content
Abstract

ABSTRACT
Objective: The study aimed to analyze the influence of aerobic training in homocysteine levels in an individual type 2 diabetic. Methods: For the case study was recruited an individual diagnosed with type 2 diabetes women aged 82 and high levels of homocysteine in the blood. The student has submitted the collection of 10mL of fasting blood for at least 12 hours for assessment of plasma homocysteine levels before and after 16 weeks of aerobic training program. Training took place 2 times a week, and made the 45 minute walk with an intensity of 60-70% of maximum heart rate. Results: After the training program we can see that there was a 42.79 % reduction in homocysteine levels found at the beginning of the program. Conclusion: We conclude that the program of aerobic training can decrease homocysteine levels in women with type 2 diabetes.
